Dr. Carolyn Gochee

CHIROPRACTOR

I am a holistic chiropractor, I chose to specialize in wellness because of the myriad of benefits my family and I have received from chiropractic care as I was growing up. I became aware of the power of chiropractic care when my family and I experienced significant relief from ear infections, headaches, migraines, and premenstrual symptoms.

I graduated in 2003, from Logan University in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri, where I was awarded top of my class in Logan Basic Technique. I opened a private practice in Craig, Colorado, in August 2004, and practiced there until I moved to Grand Junction in the summer of 2017.

Throughout my career, I have continually expanded my scope of practice to include therapies that match my philosophy that healing comes from within.

CROSSROADS MEDICAL MASSAGE

I grew up in Grand Junction and I am a Native Coloradan. I left Grand Junction in 1983 to serve my country in the United States Air Force. I spent over 20 years in the Air Force traveling all around the world. I lived in Maryland for over 20 years and retired there from the military. I returned to Colorado in 2011 to be closer to my parents and family.

Upon returning to Colorado I wanted to find a career where I could help people. I decided to pursue a career in massage therapy. I attended the massage program at IntelliTec College and furthered my education through The Giving Touch Massage School. During my schooling I was drawn to the therapeutic aspect of massage and its application to the natural healing process.

I continued my education by becoming certified in Medical Massage. Medical massage is a therapeutic massage that can be prescribed by a physician. It is any massage performed with a desired clinical outcome. It provides the client with an individualized evaluation, specialized tests, rehabilitative exercises and stretches as well as hydrotherapy.

I offer a variety of other treatments such as Swedish massage, therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage and hot stone massage. I provide safe, appropriate and effective techniques designed specifically for each client’s individual needs.

In order to provide you with the best experience, I will provide safe, appropriate and effective techniques. I have extensive training in medical massage techniques and disciplines that allow me to develop a comprehensive health plan designed specifically for each client’s individual needs. Medical Massage

60 Minutes – $70

Therapeutic Massage

60 Minutes – $60

90 Minutes – $90

The primary goal is to relax the entire body. Therapeutic Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. It is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Himalayan Hot Stone

90 Minutes – $100

Hot stone massage is the application of hot stones directly to the body. To relax muscles, allowing the therapist access to the deeper muscle layers. Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a very healing and effective experience. The hot stones also expand blood vessels which encourages blood flow throughout the body. The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.

BODY & SOUL THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2010. I went to school at Intellitec College here in Grand Junction where I received over 900 hours of training. Since then I have attended several continuing education classes including Oncology Massage. I have worked on clients from the age of 9 to 103!

My specialty has become a deeply relaxing therapeutic massage that will work out all your knots and help rid your body of toxins. I use a variety of massage techniques: deep tissue, Swedish, Far East, athletic, spa – to achieve a better balance for you.

I work on oncology patients and the frailer population on a weekly basis. Positive human touch is important for everyone but more so with those groups of people. The effects of massage are cumulative. So the more massage you get, the more you benefit. Not only does a massage provide ultimate relaxation for your body – it also helps with pain relief, flexibility, and circulation. Massage reduces stress which can help decrease anxiety, enhance your sleep quality, improve concentration, and give you more energy!
